Changing Save Game Location (OneDrive/GoogleSync/etc)

OneDrive etc. can cause issues with Saving or MP play, so here are instructions to allow you to redirect the savegame (and other user data) folder.

1 - create a file inside the current Documents/My Games/EmpiresKingdoms folder called redirect.txt
2 - open the file, and add the line

FOLDER <your full path to where you want the files to go>

so, for example,

FOLDER D:/SomeFolder/Kingdoms

3 - save the file
4 - ensure the path you have entered into the file exists, and then copy (or move) all the files (except for redirect.txt, of course!) from Documents/My Games/EmpiresKingdoms into that folder (otherwise when you next run the game, it will act as if it's being run for the first time).
5 - run the game. It should now do all its local file tasks to this new folder.
