Why doesnt the installation works?

Have you really tested that?

steam or site version?

as both work for me on windows 11

so few things to try,...

right click and install as admin, which will configure the game for your antivirus and firewall, then right click and or run the game as admin, again gives the correct file permissions to run if your having a issue etc, good luck

I had a problem installing from Steam, I suspect it was a corrupted download. This is what I posted over there/
No but I did have the Demo. I got it working.
What I did.
1. Uninstalled the Demo
2. "Uninstalled" the Game (The Folder was created but empty).
3. Deleted everything from the "Downloading" folder in the SteamApps folder.
4. Redownloaded and reinstalled the game.

Ok, i solved it. I simply registred for Steamversion and it worked fine. The regular install from Slitherine did not work though. Weird.

I start the non steam installation and it asks me for disc 2. This needs to be fixed.

Thats exactly what happend to me... i got the "insert disc 2" text as well... Luckily i could activate the Steam solution and the problem went away. But you should be able to use the original install of course. Do it again, Slitherine and do it right.

Thats exactly what happend to me... i got the "insert disc 2" text as well... Luckily i could activate the Steam solution and the problem went away. But you should be able to use the original install of course. Do it again, Slitherine and do it right.

Fixed the issue. Copied the files via 7Zip into a folder on the desktop and the installation worked for the non steam version.

To complicated for me. This should of course work by default. Slitherine, do you read this?

it's saving the game to the steam cloud by default, so until that finishes, and that depends on the speed of the internet and steam tbh, game won't shut down until done

how do register for Steam version? Never done that before.

You don't need to, just go into your account and redeem your steam key

Is the main benefit of Steam the fact that it updates the game automatically ? Are there other benefits as well. I have a lot of Matrix games.

Auto updates yes, some say easier to install regarding paths and game pre requirements etc just to name a few

Thanks. One final question. I assume I would uninstall the Matrix download from my PC ?

That's your call to make, if you need the space or want to run one offline without turning steam into offline mode etc
