Nervous Archers
A BG of Fragmented Light Archers are charged, pass their CT and evade. Friendly Horse Archers are charged by Light Cavalry and also evade. Evade moves are made and the Light Archers end up in the charge path of the enemy Light Cavalry. Now we have "Resolve CT for Fragmented troops being charged as a result of intervening friends evading".
1. It seems to me the Light Archers have to take a second CT here. Is that right?
2. If they pass this 2nd CT, do they get another evade move as per page 60 - or do they not get another evade move because the evade part of the turn sequence has already passed?

Out of the frying pan and into the fire I guess you would say.
think of it as headlong running away from one threat and into the path of another, guess the original target of that charge might feel glad that the poor lights took one for the team, the lights wish they had run in the other direction.
One of those things most of us hope never happens to our lights in a game.

Right, in fact in full turn sequence evades are before of charges, so you must make all evasions before your opponent make his charges; in other words, when your opponent start his charges no evasions can be made. Otherwise, hypothetically, you could have a BG of skirmishers who evade, and evade, and evade covering in a single turn an indefinite distance.hammy wrote:Off the top of my head they would have to take a second test for being charged but if they passed they would not be able to evade as each BG can only evade once per impact phase.
Think of it as 'herding' the poor unfortunates into the path of something even more nasty.

Re: Nervous Archers
I don't think so - having passed the test they are happy for the turn, also they would not test twice if directly charged by 2 BGs.TERRYFROMSPOKANE wrote:A BG of Fragmented Light Archers are charged, pass their CT and evade. There is another evade step, however they can only evade once - see FAQ.2. If they pass this 2nd CT, do they get another evade move as per page 60 - or do they not get another evade move because the evade part of the turn sequence has already passed?

Sequence is:
Resolve CT for fragmented being charged.
Make their Initial rout move.
Make evade moves.
Resolve CT for fragmented being charged as a result of intervening friends evading.
Make their initial rout move.
Make charge moves.
I would think the fragmented troops would have to test but they would not get a second evade since they have already made their initial rout/evade move. If they broke from the CT they could be contacted and would lose a base at end of impact phase.

Er no. They won't lose a base unless they are still in contact after routing again (and being pursued) in the JAP. The chargers are not yet pursuers until then. (But they would be if the enemy broke as a result of impact combat).Blathergut wrote:If they broke from the CT they could be contacted and would lose a base at end of impact phase.
