Game crashes as soon as one side fires. Fix?

Scenario crashes as soon as one side fires. Returns to Menu automatically. Can it be fixed?

Each scenario crashes as soon as the first unit fires and returns immediately to the Menu. I would like to fix this and need help doing so.

Tiller's Civil War Campaigns game crashes as soon as a unit fires. How can I fix this?
