A timelapse I made of my progress in "Kursk South" during my first try

Post by sakerorwa »

Using Photoshop and later After Effects, I made this video of my progress through "Kursk South" starting from turn 2

This is my very first attempt at the level, so you'll see some clear mistakes or lack of focus on the "hidden" objective

I'm not gonna say whether I win the level or lose it by the end, but I do make it clear whether I finished the objectives at the end or not

That counterattack when you got close to Prokhorovka must have been brutal.

Good thing you noticed that, here's what happened there:

As you know the level changes objectives mid level or so, and I suddenly found myself needing to bolt it to Prokhorovka, so who lead the spearhead there? 3 tanks, one Tiger, and 2 other tanks whose name I forgot (but I remember both had 17 attack against infantry, and 15 against armored)

But the problem is that the rapid advance exhausted them to almost orange, so when I reached the outskirts, and all their tanks attacked at once, my tanks didn't get destroyed or even get close to being destroyed since they're all level 5 (or in the case of the Tiger...were a Tiger) but they were all at orange or dark orange from the relentless attacks

So yeah it was brutal in the sense that I had to retreat with all 3 tanks and cover for them with the other arriving units, in order to make em rest

But at this point I already knew I would lose, but for the sake of making this video decided to play it till the end

Overextension is a harsh mistress.
