Status Counters..Pics Attached :)

Post by Blathergut »

Not sure if I ever posted this. Just cut, glue onto similar sized bits of matt board, and enjoy. Having one side "Disrupted This Turn" and the other side "Disrupted" has helped us keep straight when a BG can attempt to bolster.

hmmm....not sure how to attach file...is there a way to attach a WORD file here?

Those are nice counters.

We use the Litko plastic counters and place two of them down when a BG drops a level. Then in the JAP, we remove one of the markers instead of bolstering. If the BG has two markers - no bolster - one marker - bolster (with general, etc.).

It's not a word version or the exact version which Dan used, but if it helps anyone here is a version of the counter sheet. It's accessible from here:

And looks like this:

Hope this helps.

Hi, no insult to your counters which I think look nice, but I don't think it's necessary to mark whether troops are disordered/severely disordered. Their status is determined by terrain that they are in, so it's sort of 'already there'. Personally, I don't like to have anything on the table (dice, tapes, measuring sticks, rules etc) that aren't necessary. I try (unsuccessfully most times) to keep the table clear of 'clutter'.

No insult taken and I created these for me - after Dan kindly provided me a copy of his version which did not work that nicely on my old version of Word. I liked Dan's idea of counters and this saves purchasing them, as 'jigging' miniatures is o.k. visually but it easy to forget what they mean especially while learning the rules and in the heat of a game.

So I thought I would share the ones I created in GIF format with others, as they may find them useful.

Just make sure you make enough of them, Blathergut and I have had problems of running short on the broken counters till he made some more, just have to remember to turn them over from "this turn" at the end of the JAP

poor troops are classed as useless clutter so I guess they can stay on the table, unlike the rules dice measuring sticks etc...

Very nice. The counters look a lot better than plain tokens and less confusing that additional dice. Kudos!
