Is this possible?
I have tried a couple of things without success. Always getting her killed on turn 1
Any suggestions?

It's not meant to be possible. Like most of the extra objectives in the historical path, these are meant to illustrate the direction the war is going, the inevitable defeat. Thus it's narratively not going to work, the mission is just designed like this. Of course with right heroes you possibly could hold the hexes there, but it would still not change the result.

Well that was dark.
I managed to get there - but to no avail.
Took some hero combos I don't normally use.
And it's eliminating that big 30SP that triggers the narrative
