order points and several other thoughts

Post by tora_tora_tora »

When cavalry retreat in front of line infantry units still in tight formation, I guess they need much more order points than usual.

If arhcers can choose to fire rapidly or, wait until further command to aim much more precisely, that will be good.

If there are mounted archers, or mounted javelin throwers, that will be really good.

What about centaurs for that?

BTW and totally OT: "The Searchers" film (by John Ford) was translated here in Spain as "Desert Centaurs"   Classic!

well, mounted archers are like this, in Japan.

So they dash a little while, and shoot at his left side opponent, and dash away.
And in most of the time, they are reluctant to gallop their horses, as horses are so tiny, I imagine.

Archers

And shouldn't archers be ordered to hold fire? In Legions Arena, you can hold their position, but once an enemy comes in range they start firing. For example if you want the archers to hold fire off the first wave attack to save their ammo for the elephants coming up behind in the second wave, there is no easy way to have the archers hold fire.
