Disabling startup screen

Is there any way to disable that annoying startup movie? It is not a super-short clip, I have to actually sit there and wait each time I load the game. And it doesn't continue playing when minimized.

wow... thank you! do you know of any way to start the game in windowed mode?

Not really sure, I think it opens in windowed mode by default for me......certainly lets me alt tab to other programs
