A turning question

Post by Dyeeles »

In a game last night I had a unit of 7 Longbow laid out like so facing up the page-

AAAAAA
A

They then turned 90* to the left.

My question is, what formation should they end up in?

Would it be

AAAAAA
A Facing left or something totally different?

Cheers, Dave

One wide eight deep.

When turning to face you must occupy no more than the units depth - which in this case is 40mm, hence one element wide.

Your frontage after turning is the minimum to have at least the same width on the flank as before turning. 2 MF deep changes to 1 wide after a 90 degree turn.

And the minimum is base depth (ie measured) NOT base count.
