Mouse clicks ignored on XP after playin a while

I just installed the game yesterday on an up to date windows XP. After playing a while without problems, suddenly all clicks in the lower part of the screen (where the buttons for reaserach etc. can be found just seem to change the current terrain hex without executing the command. This makes the game unplayable. I have the brand new Gold Edition.

Sorry you are having problems. What happens if you exit the game and try again? We've not heard of this before. What is your setup?

If I start again it works again for a while. Then the same problem comes up again. I run an up to date XP on VMWare on a Mac. All my other strategy games run just fine on this platform. Is there still a Mac Version? That would solve it immediately.

If I play the game on my other machine with Vista everything runs fine.

Yes there is a MAC version sold by Freeverse. I've no idea what could cause this issue but unfortunately as it's running on a MAC there is very little we can do to fix it.
