We're releasing a new update for Battlesector. As per usual, please let us know what you think of the list of changes. Your feedback is essential to keep improving the game.

The team is currently hard at work. We'll have news about new content soon.

Changes since 1.2.43

Changes
  • Steamdeck support. We’ve made a number of changes to improve the experience when playing on Steam Deck.
    • The game will default to gamepad controls when starting on Steam Deck, fonts should be more readable, the on-screen keyboard should display when required and better v-sync handling for smoother play.
    • Added support for gamepad controls in some PC-only multiplayer UIs such as tournaments.
  • Added support for chat messages in asynchronous multiplayer matches
  • Refactored the system that manages multiplayer turn data exchange to prevent most desyncs
  • Enabled V-sync when running on PS5, Xbox One X or Xbox Series X
Balancing

Hunter-killer Missile:
  • Changed damage type from tile (all models) to splash (9 models) with 80% falloff
  • Increased damage for the base level to 120 (100)
Adepta Sororitas HQ Commands:
  • Swapped the CP costs for Spirit of the Emperor and Divine Guidance
Penitent Engine:
  • Increased attacks to 2 (1)
  • Changed damage to 70 (100)
Smokescreen:
  • Reduced evasion bonus to +15/+25 (+20/+30)
Hospitaller:
  • Increased evasion to 15
Medicus:
  • Increased heal amount to +50/+70 (+30/+60)
Retributor Heavy Flamers:
  • Reduced damage to 4 (5)
  • Increased cost to 50 (30)
Transport
  • Embark and Disembark actions now cost 2MP each.
Devotion
  • Changed the bonus momentum gained to be based on the percentage of health the unit losses from attacks, rather than HP lost. This means that units with larger health pools will gain bonus momentum at a slower rate.
  • Adjusted 'Devotion' Momentum Per % HP damage to 0.6 (i.e. gain 0.6 Momentum for each 1% of health lost)
Bug Fixes
  • “Tyranid Prime's turning around animation is bugged”
  • Pressing "M" while in the pause menu opens the Map in-game
  • “If press ESC when the game is loading a level the options menu is opened in the background and stops the game from loading.
  • In Planetary Supremacy, army values on map screen not being updated correctly after winning battle
  • [BUG] “If story character dies during same turn that mission ends you can never get them back”
  • “Tactical map unit tooltip is invisible and getting stuck in the screen.”
  • Game freezes either at start of turn (skirmish battle), loading a game, or loading a battle (deployment screen).
  • [BUG] “Randomise All” button in skirmish setup does not work
  • “Army Management has issues for Skirmish, multiplayer and Incursion Mode”
  • Purple particles when casting Spirit of the Emperor
  • “Surprise Me” button creates excessive hang when loading game
  • “Seraphim model clips through the ground in daemonic incursion map.”
  • “In photo mode the camera can clip into the terrain.”
  • Can Capture a Siege point during Necrons revive ability
  • Dialogue cuts off when ending a turn on overwatch
  • Multiplayer Camera doesn't focus Flayed One's teleport destination
  • Army List scroll position resets when deleting a unit from an army.
  • Redundant "Hide Password" option in single player skirmish setup
  • Low-res texture in ‘Rearm and Resupply’ mission on consoles
  • Fix possible crash on PS4 related to memory management

I just got the game on std ps4, and did the tutorials, went fine,,except it's a little slow framerate.

I hope when played on ps5 backward compatibility it will be fine when i get one soon hopefully. I dont think there is a ps5 upgrade per se?

I logged in especially to say thank you and congrats to devs, i love battlestar galactica deadlock and can see I'll love this one too.

The music, just in the tutorial is sublime, hypnotizing, mesmerizing.
I read here you added even more sound tracks for the sisters, i guess that's in the sororitas dlc?
And you wont hear the music of other factions when you play against them.

Also, the units look, animations, sounds and barks, voices are superb.
And the tactical mechanics and choices super cool already from the little i just saw.
Ill be getting the dlcs soon.

Hoping for mechanicus dlc, love them in the mechanicus game. They would be interesting in a story campaign.

And of course in all the modes.

I noticed the supremacy campaign tab still says preview, so are we assured then that it will be fleshed out even more?
That will be cool.

Edit: it be nice to have added info on units in the reinforcement page, maybe a codec of sorts, and more explanations on what affects what, and have good amount of lore for each thing, ability, item etc, to feel more into the universe.

For ex., i have no idea what the storm shield does for blood lieutenant, if its just a passive armor upgrade, or if i need to equip it, to unequip the pistol maybe to have it in one hand, and if there's a boost defense block ability with it, etc.

Edit: seems lieutenant cant use the shield i guess, but terminator can, i dontk now much about warhammer etc hehe. I just got the blood elites dlc, cool units.

It be cool to have a 3d rotation viewer of each unit, piece of weapon, shield, etc.

I noticed sometime the command bar, and tactical map don't open, but if i stay clicked on a unit and go into the pause menu and back, it fixes it. That's on std ps4.

Edit2: also i noticed in supremacy, i was against necrons, and no barks, voices from them. Is it because i don't have the necron dlc yet maybe?

The veterancy boost seems small, i was in a battle in supremacy against the sororitas, and a mother superior had 2 veterancy, but added just 2 percent evade chance.

If it was 10% per veterancy point, it be worth it more seems.
I would consider to try finish her off in priority, before i reach my winning points, to prevent her having a 30% evade boost on our next battle.
I don't know if veterancy is just in supremacy mode, or in the story campaign too.

Edit 3: now i notice even the blood angels dont say anything when i give them orders, in supremacy.
Seems in skirmish they did always bark, talk, weird.
It takes away some of the mood.
Is that normal, or a bug?
Or missing in supremacy, that be weird since its just same battles, idk.
Well i went back to the skirmish, even a new one too, and no more barks, voices.
Shame, how is that? At the beginning im sure each time you select a unit and order it, it says something, and in gameplay videos i saw.
If it's a bug , please i hope it will be fixed, it adds a lot to the mood of each faction and unit, and universe.
Even the tyranids are quiet now.
*edit: ouch my bad, i dont know how, but the voices volume was set to 0. Sorry, glad it's only that.

Edit5: now i see i cant choose necrons or sisters as enemies in skirmish. I don't get it.
Maybe cause i have a save of a skirmish with the 2 base factions, ill try later again after deleting the save.

It be nice to have more lore also in game.
Fingers crossed for more content, factions, etc.

Edit6: tried the autocannon strafe hq command, and it barely did any damage against small tyranids, which by the damage, health, armor,,and accuracy should have killed most it seems?
