With all the attention on Field of Glory with all the upgrades and enhancements by Slitherine being
focused on Field of Glory for tabletop wargaming with no upgrades or enhancements likely for
Pike & Shot Campaigns.
Will those wargamers who love the Pike & Shot, Horse & Musket and Napoleonic era for tabletop
wargaming inevitably have to wait for Slitherine to delve into our era with Field of Glory versions
covering the Pike & Shot, Horse & Musket and Napoleonic era's ??
Assuming of course there's no further development with Pike & Shot Campaigns if ( as seems likely )
Slitherine intends to use the Field of Glory model for all era's of tabletop wargaming simulations.
Future of Pike & Shot ? will it inevitably become Field of Glory P&S ?

As things stand, there is absolutely no indication there'll ever be any new game or DLC about the post-1500 period.
btw Pike & Shot Campaigns (with its modules and user-made battles) is great as is.

Which is a shame really for - as far as computerised Tabletop wargaming is concerned Field of Glory and Pike and
Shot Campaigns stands 'head & shoulders' ( particularly with it's field of battle scenery upon which the rival armies are
deployed ) above the competition namely 'Tabletop Simulator' where for some 'strange reason' TS also recreates the
polystyrene hills and roads & rivers made out of cardboard, not to mention miniaturised 'Wendy houses' to represent
villages.
What Tabletop wargamers see in 'Tabletop Simulator' when the battlefield scenery is archaic as a children's sandbox,
is beyond me ! !

No, Slitherine will likely not delve into the musket and post musket eras. The archon engine which P&S is based upon is too passe for slitherine it appears, although as is, P&S is a stellar game. I sincerely hope any game they develop(if ever) about post 1700 conflicts is not a copy of Field of Glory II, that game is deeply flawed...

I think that for many of us old P&S grognards, the ideal P&S2 would indeed be an update of the current game, with the known bugs fixed, and UI and artwork improved to the standard of FoG [personally I would love to keep the 6mm tabletop feel of the graphics]. But it is evident that Slitherine and Byzantine Games are of the opinion there is no way to make such an outcome commercially viable.
However, it occurs to me that there is logic to the development of a FoG Renaissance game, as the FoG franchise has an established market presence, and the associated FoGR army books have been published, outlining a clear DLC revenue path. The wargamers who contribute to these forums consistently demonstrate an appetite for quality turn-based tabletop simulation games for the Renaissance and Horse & Musket periods, but the feedback from Slitherine suggests that they assess the market for such products in the computer gaming community to be marginal at best.
