Pathing Oddity

Post by SnuggleBunnies »

I assume you are aware of this, but just in case, see here:

My unit turns 90 degrees in the process of charging an enemy unit, presumably because of the AP effect of the stream. This led to an exposed flank in a direction I was not expecting. Yes, the dots showed the path they would take, I didn't notice because I didn't think this was possible.

As you say, a pathing oddity, probably due to the stream. I have no control over the pathing algorithms, which are in the engine - effectively a black box to me, as I cannot alter it and do not even have access to the source code.

I could check the pathing in scripts, but that would be much slower and have a significant effect on game performance. So we live with these occasional anomalies.
