Difficulty Patching to Latest Version (Win 10 OS)

Hello folks. I'll start by saying I absolutely love FG 2 (and multiple other titles from either Slitherine or Matrix). In playing the Empire side, I've run into a bug with the Harpy Queen (Lion's Den) that apparently a patch will fix.

However, when I try and use the native launcher patching functionality, it consistently fails. I've tried this with the Windows Defender firewall turned off, same results.

Is there either a direct download of the latest patch somewhere, or anyone who's been able to successfully patch using Win 10 that could give me advice on how to do so?
