Does this hero exist?

A hero that provides +1 initiative to friendly units that are also equipped with the same hero. I was thinking if such a hero exists, it could be used to incentivize players to keep 'battle groups' together which they designate at the start of a scenario.

Well there is the "Leadership" hero, not exactly what you want, but he is pretty much doing this +1 initative to adjacted units.
But he is awkward to use.

But you can always build up "battlegroups", i do this real often and form battlegroups even without heros. camo them, sometimes i need to shuffle single units into other groups but i enjoy playing on 2 or more frontlines with a "splitted" core.

Initiative is a quite "weak" stat in the lategame. In the early games most of your units are inferior to the enemy and only sometimes you can get some use out of leadership and mid-war it depends on the units you use and what you engage.

to be honest, in SCW and parts of AO39 i prefer playing with mass attacks to get rid of harder unit with out to many losses, i seldom use the "leadership" bonus of galled for example at all.

Interesting what you say about initiative not being too relevant late war. I'm thinking about this in the context of a MP scenario I'm making, May 1944. It has historical units split up into divisions with their own battalions. So if the player were able to get a bonus for using his division as a single fighting force that could lead to gameplay that more accurately reflects historical circumstances.

While that hero doesn't exist unfortunately, maybe I will try and tweak the current hero to give a +2 or 3 initiative bonus.
