SCW ?? - Italian replacements/ stolen prestige

1) When you purchase captured equipment as part of your Italian axillaries,
do the survivors return to the pool? Or once purchased they are gone forever.

2) Does the Spanish force rob you of prestige?
I know they do it when they take replacements, but it also looks like you don't earn any when they capture a VP city/airfield. Is that correct?

Just my observation... right or wrong... but for example if you purchase 'Auxiliaries' for instance... that cost comes out of your 'Prestige'... and as well as replacement upkeep. When the 'Scenario' is over... your spent 'Prestige' is now gone too... it is not recovered... and when your Allies or Auxiliaries capture flags that generate prestige... instead of your Core-Units capturing those flags... you do not get that Prestige... its not yours to have... that as well is gone!.

This absurd situation needs to be fixed... its not right!... nor fair!.

I do not agree.

1) I had the same question recently, but I did not try it out. My guess is you might get back whats not killed, because the italians stock is increasing with every scenario. I play with limited stock and the italians numbers are rising, if you dont lose them.

2) I am quite sure you get prestige when they force units to surrender or they capture cities. You share your prestige pool with them so there should be also income.
Once again limited stock features helps. They can only replace 20 units for each type

Your faction shares prestige with your spanish allies and italian auxilaries, which means they use your prestige to replace losses, but also grants you the prestige from capturing locations/units (you don't get the equipment if your spanish ally made the capture, not sure about italians though).

I think captures by the Italians count as captures by your forces. I probably would have noticed if they did not, since I think I used the Italian cavalry for the final kill several times. My main gripe about the auxiliary system (especially as it relates to the Italians) is that there is no way for them to accumulate experience from one scenario to the next, which strikes me as unrealistic. One way to address this problem would be to allow redeployment and reinforcement of previously deployed auxiliary units between scenarios. Another would be to add increments of experience to all auxiliary units across the board as the campaign unfolds.

If they work like your core units they are no longer aux units. After SCW I never use aux units, but I would like to permenantly use foreign units from spain, italy, finish and so on. Core slots, just for non german units.

I think I answered the prestige question.
Normally, when you capture a flag, you see the point total change when they change flags.
This does not appear to happen when Spanish allies capture something -
You don't see the point total on the map when flag changes, but it does appear on your running total at the top of the screen
