Of course both sides playable. It exhausted me tweaking to make sure neither side can win/lose too easily, while the script must reappear the history scene that English almost doubled the French at first, however their rightbank contingent unmaneuvered until Breton reinforcement arrived the field 3hrs(12turns,15mins per turn)later.
I'm so happy you like it,Pete! I tested a lot on this scenario,I thought its balance was OK.However things have changed after several packages of official updates.I think the difficulty of Formigny need to be retweaked later.stockwellpete wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 1:38 pm I had my first game of this for a couple of years using this scenario in SP. I played as the English and managed to win 60-38 on Baron level (one of the easier levels, I believe). I thought the scenario was fantastic. I will have a game as the French next time. What ultimately saved me was the AI had difficulty getting its knights across the bridges on the river. It succeeded eventually, but I had time to re-deploy, to a certain extent anyway, and I was able to stop the knights hitting the main part of my army in the rear. In the main part of the battle I was eventually able to defeat the French by getting mounted units in behind the main French battle line. I had 3 or 4 rear charges that caused absolute havoc.
