Planetary Supremacy - Frequently Asked Questions

Post by blacklab »

Apr-2022

What is Planetary Supremacy?

Planetary Supremacy is a new conquest-style skirmish campaign that is available for everyone who owns Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. Three factions fight for control of a forgotten planet, but only one can prevail. Unlike Age of Crimson Dawn, Planetary Supremacy is not narrative-based, so you decide the outcome.
You’ll play on two levels - the overworld game board, and the procedurally generated battle maps. To achieve victory, expand your army and destroy the bases of your opponents before they destroy yours.

Why is Planetary Supremacy being made?

The goal of Planetary Supremacy is to create a mode that can allow for unlimited replay. Many players want to continue playing Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector after completing the Age of Crimson Dawn campaign but aren’t interested in multiplayer. Planetary Supremacy for those players.

Planetary Supremacy doesn’t have feature X or Y, why not?

The initial launch version of Planetary Supremacy as of April 2022 is a foundation, not a final product. Whilst it is fully playable, we’ve got big plans to expand the mode in the coming months.
We’ve released the new mode early so that we can take on community feedback and feature requests, and shape it based on what players would like to see added.

How can I make a suggestion about Planetary Supremacy?

We’ve created a dedicated sub-forum for Planetary Supremacy here where you can post your thoughts and suggestions on how you’d like the development team to shape the new mode.

Why not make a story campaign for Necrons instead?

Whilst narrative campaigns are great, we wanted to add something to the game that could be played with any faction available now or in the future.

Will Planetary Supremacy be updated regularly?

Yes! We plan to make new releases available as features are added.

Will there be more factions after the Necrons, and if so, will they be playable in Planetary Supremacy?

Yes and yes.
