Scoring

Scoring will be based upon the break level and by how close the battle was. The narrower the margin between players will result in scores rather close while an early decisive win will be wider.

Win: 60 + (enemy break% - winner break %)
Draw or Loss: (enemy break %)

Example:
pantherboy (Romans) (61%) vs CheAhn (Carthage) (48%)
pantherboy (48%) = 48pts
CheAhn 60 + (61% - 48%) = 73pts


Reporting Games

Reporting results will be incumbent on the player who won the battle. They will be required to log into the Slitherine Forum and post the result publicly on the appropriate thread (e.g. Late Antiquity Eastern Conference Results). Results posted should be reported in the following format;

Pod (A/B/C etc.)
Player ID (army) (Army Break %) score vs Player ID (army) (Army Break %) score

The score should have been more like 50 - 20 to Tyrone, I even commented earlier on if this was a boxing match, it would be stopped.

Somehow a few units, held on and held on whilst on a hill to enable me to take out Tyrone's left flank and a Vet Dailami unit with general routed 4 units of German foot with help from a Bedouin LH and Ghilman unit.

A lot of rough going in the center of the battlefield but both armies had enough medium infantry to take advantage. Indian bow on one flank disrupted enough Scots to give the Muslim spearmen an advantage. GG

The battlefield is really unfair because of Crusader army having a batter defense position on the hills.However, I met a gentleman with knight spirit. German army persist in attacking,and we played a bloody battle. Thanks for the game!

Div B playoff, Pod A

Flockaveli (Andalusian 1228-1248) (23%) 79 points defeats GraftMalt (Berber (Almohad) 1121-1269) (52%) 23 points

The Andalusians met the Almohad Berbers on a flat plain with a patch of rough in the middle. The Andalusian archers and almughavar medium foot secured the rough and anchored the Andalusian right flank. But the Berber cavalry won the initial skirmish on the left against their Andalusian counterparts - some Andalusian lights were cut off and destroyed, and the Berber camels frightened the Andalusian knights and horsemen. The Andalusian cavalry retreated and some were driven off the field. The Berber infantry then advanced upon the rough ground, but the combination of the Andalusian arrows and more agile medium foot were able to surround and destroy part of the Berber vanguard. A few Berber spearmen disrupted at the sight of their friends routing, and this plus some lucky strokes of fate in the cavalry battle and raw spearmen maintaining cohesion against great odds, enabled the Andalusians to break the Berber left and begin to roll up the line to win the day.

oscarius (English) beats cromleichi (Ghurid): 50 - 7: 60 + 43 = 103 points

My foe invested in many bowmen, hoping to use the rough terrain of the map to grind me down with ranged fire. The affordable medium foot options of my Celtic auxiliaries meant I could force a fairly straight forward advance upon my foe with some careful re-positioning and the Afghani-Indian line quite quickly crumbled under a fierce British assault. Well-played, luck was on my side as was the plentiful cheap infantry of my list.

Thanks to my opponent for giving me a match. Initial impact didn't see any clear winner but once the elephants could line up with the Anglo-Irish knights, neutralizing their deadly presence for the lower grade Indian troops, the tables started to inexorably turn.

Carpenkm did his best to get to the hills and try to use the few hard grounds we had, but the map was rather Mongol-friendly. And as we discussed, Scotts always have a tough time against Mongols, not enough counter-fire and light protection only. Still, enjoyable game. Thank you and see you next tournament!
