Recon aircraft & naval battle

I have the impression that the reconnaissance plane brings no advantage to naval combat ?

Is the accuracy bonus not working .... they can also be used as sitting ducks to draw out the enemy to attack them .. if you put a fighter near them you can weaken the enemy usually as it attacks the recon unit ...

Good thing to point out before the Pacific campaign DLC. It would make sense to change it by then, provided of course that the bonus does not work indeed in the first place. I never really checked, usually the recon planes were just busy scouting for ships, not giving my own fleet a bonus.

I have noticed that they do not give support to air attacks (other planes), only ground units. So it may indeed be true that ships do not receive it either since they are not *ground* units.
