German umlauts

The correct spelling of the German umlauts does not work for the German-language text files and modding activities:
ae -> ä / Ae, AE -> Ä
oe -> ö / Oe, OE -> Ö
ue -> ü / Ue, UE -> Ü

Can this be corrected please?
