Verified Problem with Chariots of War game!

Serial number which is emailed to you when you buy the Chariots of War game in Slitherine store, is invalid and is not compatible with the official digital version [PC] Installer v1.21 (Slitherine).
It is only compatible with a different, vastly outdated installer from 2007 with an outdated game version 1.13, which you got emailed in the first link (expiring after 14 days). So if you don't download your game immediately from this link, you are screwed!

You are screwed anyway because you are locked in an unpatched, buggy version of the game, and can't install latest one because it doesn't accept your serial number (listed in your Slitherine profile!!!) and says "Invalid Serial Number".
This is a serious issue, and I've seen another users reporting it too. Fix this bug!

The serial number-compatible outdated version of the game installer (2007) is ChariotsofWar-setupreleaseversion-1DR.exe (106 Mb), while the correct [PC] Installer v1.21 (Slitherine) file (2010) is called just "Chariots of War.exe" (51 Mb)

Hey, does anyone know if Slitherine has fixed this sort of thing with people buying the game? I used to own it ages ago and loved it. But now out of nostalgia, I'd like to buy it again but really don't want the hassle if the keys given are so old they don't match the current loading system the company uses.

AFAIK there are no ongoing issues, but even in the event of some mixup support will just be able to issue you the correct key, or point you to the correct installer.
