50% lancers

Looking at the Byzantine lists,
some are listed as 50% bow, 50% lancers, swordsmen
some are listed as 50% bow, lancers, swordsmen

Is there any difference between these as the 50% lancers count full lance on impact regardless and in melee they are all 100% swordsmen ?
