Disbanding split units grants unintended core slots.

I just discovered this bug by accident. I found this bug was reported on the Steam forums in Dec 2020:

I think what should be happening here is what happens when one half of a split unit is destroyed by an enemy attack: The remaining half becomes a whole again, with max strength value retuning to the original value before being split, and core slots being unaffected, except that the 1 core slot reserved for the splitting action should be returned.
