Does anyone know (playing BJR mod) if there is any effect of a German invasion of Canada? Does it hasten USA entry at all?

If you have London then if you captured Ottawa it would knock the UK out of the war.

No.

It is very easy to win the war in 1941 as the Germans by doing this (against the AI that is). You kill off the UK before either the US or Russia enter the war.

Has anyone actually suceeded in conquering Canada against a human opponent? I made one attempt at this a few months ago, but it ended in failure. Fortunately, it didn't cost me the game as I was still able to force Russia to surrender.

I did - on a vanilla game - it was also against an experienced opponent and was an act of desperation more than anything else.

I suffered in France - lost allot of units. I had shipped of a corps through to canada knowing that he would leave Ottawa empty (moving the frontline troops off to Africa or UK). I managed to take Ottawa first.

I then launched 2 failed attempts at a sealion and on the third attempt with no troops on the russian border and russia about to enter I just managed to take London - won the game - just.

I didnt deserve to win I was beat all over the place - strangly it did teach me how expensive Seallion could be and I have never tried it since. I wouldnt recomend it, too risky and so many things could go wrong at any point.
