Game wont close in Steam

When I try and load FOG2 Ancients in Steam it shows the game is running which it isn't. I press stop in Steam but nothing happens.

Occasionally something odd happens that stops the game from fully closing properly.

Click CTRL-ALT-Delete to bring up the Task Manager.

Click on More Details.

Look and see if there are any Field of Glory related processes listed under Background Processes. If so, click on them and then click End Task.

This happens to me occasionally with Steam games. I usually close Steam down and do a Windows restart. Problem solved 90% of the time.
