Game screen reverting to desktop

Post by markwatson360 »

I don't know if this is a known issue but i've had this happen quite often, during an opponents replay the screen inexplicably reverts back to the desktop with the game still running in the taskbar, so I have to click on it to get the game screen back on. This can be quite irritating, i've never had it happen in the ancients game (or any other for that matter). Has anyone else experienced this?

Not me.

Is there anything unusual about your setup? (e.g. Dual monitors)

Are you running the game in Full Screen, Windowed, or Framed Window mode?

The game is running in full screen mode and i've just got one monitor, it's strange, it's just as if i'm pressing the windows key on the keyboard but i'm not touching anything. Most odd.

I changed the screen mode from "Full screen" to " windowed". It looks the same and hasn't happened since.

Good to know. Apparently there are potentrial interactions between Windows 10/driver/another app that can cause Full Screen to malfunction like this. As you have discovered, the solution is to switch to Non-Framed Windowed mode.
