Fallen General

Post by HobbesACW »

Hi folks, just playing a game vs the AI and in the replay I saw a text that a general was lost. It was just a floaty bit of text around quite a few others that informed me about disruptions etc.
I assume it was an opposition general as I think I still have all of my own but it is not obvious. Lost generals don't seem to be reported in the battlefield stats.
How can you tell were a general has been lost. Do the large banners change to small ones?

I think the game needs to highlight this better - but maybe I'm just missing something?
I also think the base of the currently selected unit should be more obvious. I often have to search for it amongst all the brown.
It's just a bigger brown than the rest of the units. Maybe a bit of red would help?

Cheers,
Chris

You hear a very distinctive, dread-filled horn blow when a general goes down. You should also see the text 'General Fallen', and big banners will become small as you observed. You'll also no longer see the commander's name listed when you mouse over the unit.

I have suggested a clearance towards a fallen general floaty text and RBS has accepted it. Don't know when exactly it will be implemented, but I hope it'd be soon.
