In November 1227 Princeps Leszek the White – the highest among the Polish dukes – was assassinated. Ambushed in a bath in a village of Gąsawa he managed to storm out of the house naked, jump on a horse and started riding but was chased and eventually struck down by his oppressors. There were a number of dukes suspected of orchestrating the assassination and discussion about the real culprit flared up the imaginations of contemporaries. However, one thing was certain – with Leszek's death any vestiges of unity of Polish lands ceased to exist. No other duke had enough authority or power to claim the title of Princeps, let alone become a king. The Feudal Partition of the realm that had been dragging on for almost a century by that time has entered a more turbulent phase.

This is a recruitment thread for a 5 player campaign centered around a time of Feudal Fragmentation of Poland in XIII – XIVc. The rules are designed for a battle heavy game in which players can declare up to 2 attacks each round. All players play Polish dukes fighting over de jure lands of the Kingdom of Poland but they can supplement their forces with Danish, German, Bohemian, Hungarian, Rus and Lithuanian allies. All these forces can also make raids or invasions into Polish territory. Prussian and Mongol raids are also in the game as well as potential support and/or conflict with the Teutonic Order that has just been invited into Polish lands. So a potential for diverse battles is there.
The sides are not equal and this is by design - the set up more or less mirrors the state of affairs in 1227. Some players will have a harder starting position. However, this can quickly change if the small decide to gang up on the big ones. For that reason some players may have more battles to fight in a turn, especially if they are the leader. Although the set up is not „fair”, for those that lose all their lands there is a comeback mechanism in a form of going into and returning from exile to fight once more. Lastly, there is also a „snowball” mechanism in the game – players with sufficient number of holdings will be able to conquer large swaths of territory, or lose them if the battle does not go their way (high risk / high reward option).
I'm looking for players that are willing and able to fight multiple battles per turn and can commit to a campaign that lasts 10 turns, although there will be an option for a quicker victory. Ideally resolving one turn (including attack declarations and battles) should take us 1 month tops. It would be great if we get the turns moving quicker, though.
