New ww2 Map for Europe 1941
379x332

latest ver. 2.0 Map 27.10.2024
latest ver. 3.10 Scenario 27.10.2024 (Based on the Pak mod. It is a purely historical scenario, with events and dates already fixed. You cannot buy new units, only upgrade them. Is a german single player scenario against allied AI, for now. Certainly can be improved! Certainly there are errors!! Sorry.)

For those who want to try it and give me suggestions and opinions, thanks.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/mcbikiyw ... 10.7z/file

Game designed to be played on the Axis side with AI Level +3 (Attack), Colonel or General.

ver0.58a: Small graphic additions on the map and various changes to allied units, especially Soviet ones.
ver0.60: Minor graphic adjustments and addition of various event photos. Updated to version 0.60 PAK Mod.
ver0.70: Updated to version 0.70 PAK Mod.
ver0.80: Updated to version 0.80 PAK Mod. I've added new events and little details to the map.
Ver2.0 map --> Introduced various graphical updates and many more cities. Improved Russian and Allied forces! Added some more events and news.

Hi, I prefer this way:
1- make a copy of Panzer Corps
2- I overwrite Mod Pak on the copy
3- I overwrite my Mod
4- put the scenario file in the folder: MyPC / mygames / Panzercorps

Hello, it seems a pretty good work.
Maybe you can add a little more Libya in the South for DAK vs Brits warfare.

Nice! But maybe it looks a bit distorted in the north: Scandinavia looks so much bigger than Western Europe?

That's really nice! :)

What's the plan with it? Single player, multiplayer, time span, scenarios or campaign, etc. ?

Now the map is ready (Ver. 1.0).
1- 399 x 332 hexagons.
2- I have increased, a little, the southern part of the map, more North Africa (it was suggested to me).
3- I added the shallow waters (Shallow Sea ---> 100 Fathom = 182.88 Meters) and some other details (city graphics, War Industries, more ...)
4- The graphic tiles are taken from other mods and authors. In summary it is a mix of Europa 2.0, PAK Mod, Soviet Storm.
5- For NOW, this is graphics map ONLY, not a game scenario.
6- Map + graphic tile mix ----> 183 MB files
7- TKS

I was thinking more about the single player for now. But I've been working for a month, just on the map ..... make a scenario now ..... uhmmmm .... I'll see.

Yes, I see this, and it is of course very nice, but I mean what is your plan now that you have finished with this map? Do you plan to make a scenario for it (or maybe more than one), if so will it be for single player or multiplayer or perhaps both, what will be the time span, the number of days between two turns, what units will be used (vanilla or custom) and so on and so forth... lots of questions. :)

EDIT: ah, ok, I saw your other reply later. That's fair enough. Anyway, the map looks really great and I think it would be nice if a scenario or a campaign could use it. :)

It looks like the original map uses Mercator projection. It has the drawback of inflating the size of the landmasses further away from the equator:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercator_projection

Despite this, it really is an impressive map and surely required a lot of work to make it!

By the way I think the map I used for the BE mod used the same projection but I did not make it this far to the north and thus it is not so obvious.

Yes, I agree on all... This would be a cool range (north and east) for BE... :)

Maybe the PAK Mod team wants to use the map?

I created the map.
I make the map available to those who want to use it to create a scenario with pleasure. :)
