Wildly Improbable Results

Post by GamerMan »

Hello,
I just had a custom game vs AI, Normans vs 1066 English, Northern European Agricultural map type, 1200 vs 1200 match (custom set for trying out things)

And none of either side's units would break from fragmented due to losing melee (or losing impact, but that happened less). Everyone, including raw spear, went all the way to auto break. I did have one knight I think broke from disrupted, but that also might have been an auto break and I just missed the text popping up. One raw spear also broke from the initial pre contact morale check that fragmented units take from being charged.

I know wildly improbable events are not impossible, but this was so over the top, that I thought I'd report it in case you wanted to look into it, or if others observe something like this happening. I provided the match details above, let me know if there is anything else I should add.

Thanks. I think you will find on playing more that this was just an "unfortunate sequence of events".

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on it, just thought I'd report a 1 in 10,000,000 case. If I see something like that again I'll get you a full results log and statistical analysis.

That is very strange, but i have seen similar things happen in FOG2, maybe twice, out of the hundreds of battles I have played in that game.

I have played three battles in FOG2 Medieval, and the breaking and routing of units seemed completely Plausible.

in one battle, there was one of the new Battle Standard units, represented by a wagon, which could not be flanked, and held off three of my best units for three
turns, and was worried that it would never break. But on the fourth turn, it broke. It was a very strong unit.

Regards,

Vaslen
