Aircraft ammo

Post by Chris21wen »

I'm not quite getting this. How much ammo can an airgroup carry? It seems to be dependant upon how long it can fly for Ie. the second little number. Am I correct?

Air units can stay in the air for a certain number of turns.
At some point you need to get back to the airfield/carrier to refuel. Note the red shading displaying where you should not move the unit. You will lose 1 strength point for each turn you stay in the air after fuel is zero.
You get a message if any air unit is not able to reach their field/carrier without losing at least 1 strength points.

If you lose a carrier or airfield your air units may be caught in the air with too little fuel to reach another field/carrier (without losing strength).

Ammo is infinite. If your in the air you can shoot and bomb every turn. The only exception is torpedo's, they will take a number of turns to reload. But they will reload in the air so you don't have to return to your carrier or airfield until you need to refuel.

Cheers
There is only one principle of war and that's this.

Hit the other fellow, as quickly as you can, as hard as you can, where it hurts him most, when he ain't lookin'.
