Trigger doesn't work with Junker Supply

Post by conboy »

So, I'm trying to resupply by air -- when the Junker lands, it should satisfy the trigger conditions and add RPs to the surrounded Germans. Not an original idea, but it's part of the historical narrative.

So, the Check Units Near Hex trigger works if I set the trigger on a Move Event and the distance of 1 for the Junker Supply plane. But I'd like to set it for 0, when the Junker lands, but it doesn't actuate then. It actuates fine for the infantry unit next to the airfield when I set it for Move, distance zero.

In the figure, the airfield is on the map just to the right of the trigger box thing.

The trigger doesn't work for the Junker but it works for the Infantry. Also, I tried looking for a structure to satisfy the trigger because when the plane lands, it creates a Hangar. That doesn't work either.

It's really baffling because I can get the supply plane to work if I set it to distance >0 but not 0.

Any ideas as to why the trigger would work when it's set to 0 distance with an Infantry unit but not a Junker supply plane or a hangar?

Interestingly, you can use the "Unit Killed/Removed" / remove (w/o killer definition) trigger condition for that.

But in your example, the trigger condition's set up wrong, I guess. Use the above for the target hex and the below for target definition. Then it'll work for distance=0, too:
