About To Start Our First PBEM

Post by canuckgamer »

My friends and I are about to start our first PBEM game, actually the first game of FOGE that any of us have played. It will be a 3 player game. One of my friends has chosen Rome and I am considering my choice and leaning toward Athenae. Any suggestions from experienced players as to a state to choose would be appreciated.

As it is a WEGO system I'm wondering if we all get to see a replay (reduced by the FOW) before making our next move.

Thanks.

For three players, where one wants to be Rome, I would suggest the other two take Carthage and Macedonia. That way you all have pretty same strength positions to play, and you get to naturally interfere with each others goals :)

I see that there are only 7 major nations two of which are Carthage and Macedonia. I am going to play Macedonia. Am I correct in assuming that the AI will control and move all the rest of the factions once we selected our 3 major nations?

When creating the MP game you can tick the Hotseat Allowed box. This allows players to play more than one nation in a MP game. I've selected one tier two nation and one tier three nation in my latest MP game (Epirus and Burgundi), while the other players chose one tier one nation only. There are lots of possibilities in MP.
