Norman General

Post by Polkovnik »

I remember seeing a figure of Duke William, holding his helmet in the air (from battle of Hastings, showing that he is still alive). Anyone know the manufacturer ?

I don't know the manufacturer, but for my Norman Army I have a Duke William bought by Museum Miniatures (for KN's I prefer Essex ones).

Nope - the figure isn't produced any more. It was Thistle & Rose, which was distributed by Black Hat for a while in the UK, but the owner took back the license and they fell out of production.

2 Dragons (excellent) general is this chap stood on a rock.

This chap is: VIK COM 8
William II (William Rufis) 1087 – 1100 William standing on large rock pointing, sword in hand, Un-armoured groom hanging from William’s rearing horse (two piece casting), and AN 43(N) standard bearer

My William is the VIK COM 5:
Guillaume Le Conquerant (William Duke of Normandy) with Turstin Le Bec with Papal Banner, both mounted (one piece castings)

I have one of each 8)
