for their finishes in the Invasion Operations tournament. I suspect I am the only one who noticed that Shards emerged as champion by a single point...wow and some condolences to Cagi961.
It is interesting to see that 40 points separated the top 7 finishers and that Chema_cagi got his revenge on Celeborn by a similar point difference.
Thank you to Dwightd, Chema_cagi and AlexBanet for being such great (and gracious) opponents in my first tournament.
Looking forward to the next one!
Steve
Congratulations Shards, Cagi961 and Jheim

Yes, congratulations. Although, Shards is the winner? Hmmm . . . Have we a rigged tournament here? Were only legitimate points counted? I've heard all sorts of rumors about fraudulent points being cast . . . Dogs, cats, and dead people playing in the tournament . . . Perhaps a recount is in order? And if that doesn't change the results, a recount of the recount? My personal attorney will be holding a press conference on this.

Bru, great to see you lurking about on the forum!
I can vouch for all of my points being legitimate, though my dog did play one turn for me
I know I made Celeborn work for his, though he still pounded me pretty good. It was a pleasure to play against all of my opponents. This was the first time no one bailed out of the game on me. So hopefully the willing players are showing up in better numbers
Congrats to the top three, you have proved your metal in combat. Or at least shown your arm chair generalship is well in tact

I take no glory from this!
If I had the option, I'd have tried to get a draw on the last turn.
FWIW, as all powerful map maker, the next patch actually has a few tweaks to Karjalan Kesa in particular to somewhat restrict some of my all out cavalry-rush strategies!
I'd also say thanks to my opponents, some really good matches with rapid turns.

This was my first ever OOB Tournament. Congrats to the winners. I had a blast, though I wish my opponent would have finished last scenario...I was ready to take his HQ..BOO! I look forward to another Tourney...I am in!
It is a shame that we could not have designed or built exclusively unique scenarios..JUST for tournaments. One's that no one has ever seen or played before. Just a thought.

Well, none of you have yet played the third map in the next tournament

But seriously, to me it's a bit strange that the person responsible for creating the scens AND responsible for holding the tournament is actually permitted to participate. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Shard's cheating or something! And I wouldn't mind him playing to test the scens, but in my opinion it would be reasonable to exclude an offical from all "official" tournament rankings...
Re: Congratulations Shards, Cagi961 and Jheim
Yeah, I'll not be claiming any positions or "prizes", but given that these are still the first times these maps have been played, I'm definitely going to be taking part so I can see first hand if fixes are needed.
