The bad news is, that IS the manual. It's never been updated. The game had the "Pacific" label when it was first released.
The good news is, there have been only three major revisions to the game that are missing in the manual. Here they are:

Hello,
I´m playing Rising Sun, and in the Coral Sea senario there is a gold(or yellow) exit only. What is it?
Thanks in advance.

Since you are playing as the Japanese (red alliance), these exit hexes are for the AI/Americans (green alliance). One of your objectives is to "Cripple the US carrier or air strength - Destroy a sufficient number of US aircraft or carriers to break the enemy's offensive capabilities." At some point, when you have established air superiority, this objective is completed and the Lexington and Yorktown fleets are instructed to "Exit the Map." I would imagine that is what these exit hexes are for. There are more sets of these hexes around the southern edges of the map. [See posts below.]

Oh, wait a minute. You said "gold(or yellow)" and I thought you were just misreading the green color. But lo and behold, here is what you are referring to, in the northwest area of the map:

Well, I think the color is actually orange:
and corresponds with the Japanese AI team that the designer provided for the Invasion Fleet (and the Tulagi Construction Group):
The Invasion Fleet is programmed to move toward Port Moresby:
I am thinking that at one point, the designer intended for the Invasion Fleet to turn around and exit the map if attacked and damaged, but decided not to include such an instruction in the end. There is no trigger directing these units to exit that I can find. If so, he neglected to remove these extraneous exit hexes.
Aren't you glad you asked? TMI!
