Buying the game.

Post by stormbringer3 »

With the current sale I'm tempted. The base game is free so I can play it to see if I like it before buying any DLCs. My question is should I download the current update or can I wait until I buy a DLC? I might have download the update to to get the best experience for my decision. I live in a rural area with a telcom data plan and I'm afraid that the update will be quite large in data.
Thanks for any opinions..

Every download of the game includes every DLC available (at the time of the release).

If you have an older version already installed, you can play every DLC that was sold up until then.
But if you want to play newer content, you have to update to the current game version.

Does that mean if I download the free game I'm also downloading all the DLCs and their data before I buy them ? Buying a DLC just activates its' data?
Thanks.

Yes, you run the update patch and select the DLC and enter the serial.
