Hi All
Bought FOG II about 10 days ago and have a number of problems with it. Using a newish pc windows 10. Think I uncerstand what has been said. Have had a few instances where a pursuing enemy unit continues pursuing and charging, causing absolute mayhem. Due to inflicting 2 or more routs. i had in one example 3 to 4 steady cav all routing, having faiiled on tests for X friendly routs.
The speed of troops vary from game to game, normally it is light troops only. I sent an attached doc to tech support but now I don't think my saved games are being saved. See attachment. I seem to be waiting for games to be saved. You'll see this below FOG logo. This just goes on I generally close it at 01.43
Playing at VI difficulty and wondering if this just ups the abilities of enemy troops so more become above average or superior etc?
I think that the number of turns should be reduced. I have had a few last men standing games, where for x turns, it's just moving troops. I think with 23 turns it gives an advantage to more mobile armies as in later turns when there are less troops. I think you could quite easily make it 12 turns as a minimum. Can you adjust game turns?
So I am still enjoying the game.

That is normal and working as designed.ericdoman1 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 7:55 am Hi All

Odd. What do you mean by speed? Movement distance should not change. The speed of troops vary from game to game, normally it is light troops only.
Do you mean SP or MP games?I sent an attached doc to tech support but now I don't think my saved games are being saved. See attachment.
MP games are saved to the PBEM server only, not on your machine.
SP games are saved in /Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/SAVES
If they really aren't getting saved, that usually means your antivirus or firewall settings are blocking the game's access to the above folder.
In which case you need to specifically give the game permission to write to /Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2
The server has been rather slow lately. A fix is being sought.I seem to be waiting for games to be saved. You'll see this below FOG logo. This jjuts goes on I generally close it at 01.43
That is correct. Only in SP of course.Playing at VI difficulty and wondering if this just ups the abilities of enemy troops so more become above average or superior etc?
If you are finding the AI too easy to beat, you could try this:

You can alter the turn limit in Advanced Options when setting up a Custom Battle/Skirmish.I think that the number of turns should be reduced. I have had a few last men standing games, where for x turns, it's just moving troops. I think with 23 turns it gives an advantage to more mobile armies as in later turns when there are less troops. Re: Various issues
Thanks Richard.
Early days. I am being beaten on Lvl VI a bit too convincingly I think in some of the SP games but I don't mind as I anticipate players will be tougher.
