Mediafire issues anyone? not me but...

All,
I just started getting messages from Chrome - "(filename) can't be downloaded safely" when using Mediafire. I have had absolutely no issues with this service until this idiot message. It has been great for me. I ran a check on google news to see if anything was new or any adverse press, nothing.
I tried the download myself, it worked fine. You just have to click "Keep" instead of "Cancel". So I know it's fine so far.

This absolutely sounds like google chrome bullcrap but just to make sure, since I'm going to post something for all to download soon,
I just want to know if anybody else has issues with Mediafire recently. Before I go ahead with releasing a project. What rot is google trying to put out now!

I was hoping that was the problem.
I have a trouble report in to Mediafire.
I strongly suspect this is more Microsoft/Google nonsense.
