All good things come to an end: Season 2 of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock ends today with the last two DLCs, Armistice and Modern Ships Pack.
This is the end of a long voyage for Black Lab Games. They embarked on a long voyage years ago, and set themselves an ambitious goal: to tell the story of the First Cylon War in the best Battlestar Galactica game on the market.
In 2017 they released Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, recognized by fans as one of the best Battlestar Galactica experiences on PC.
Now, two seasons and many DLCs later, we are about to witness the end of the war.
The last DLCs
Armistice is an explosive 8-mission story campaign that brings Season Two of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock to a thrilling conclusion! Unravel Clothos’ plot for dominion, and take part in the legendary Operation Raptor Talon.
From the behemoth Mercury class battlestar, to the iconic Modern Basestar, the Modern Ships Pack contains six ships of the modern era of Battlestar Galactica. These ships can be used in Skirmish, Multiplayer and Anabasis.
Contextually, today we release the free Daybreak Update, the last of a series of free updates through which Black Lab Games greatly improved and expanded the game since release. You can learn more about the Daybreak Update here.
That's not all: Black Lab Games have a special message for all their fans, old and new.
A special message from the Devs
Last but not least, in order to celebrate the end of a saga we have decided to discount Battlestar Galactica Deadlock and its DLCs. Starting today, for one week, Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be discounted at 65% off while the DLCs (minus Armistice and Modern Ships Pack) at 30% off.
You can find the discount here.

I just want to say that in the new dlc the ships have been done very well and the Jupiter Mk2 has the right battlestar artillery in the right locations it now has the extra one each side of the gator head bringing battlestar Artillery to 24 which is correct with all pictures schematics and TV show also.
Now to the Mercury class the model is superb but the guns and the fact there is not enough of them to be correct and they are not in the right locations makes this a bad ship.
You have to be above a target to get the most out of the broadsides battlestar artillery that's because they are in the wrong place if the had been put in the right place like in the pictures I am adding showing the way things should look on the broadsides.
This would let you be above or below a target because the artillery on the broad sides would work correct because the side battlestar artillery as it is just so rubbish.
Watch the BSG episode where both the Pegasus and Galactica destroy the resurrection hub both battlestars are below the basestars targets and using there top battlestar artillery for Galactica and Pegasus is using her broadsides artillery to take them out no head on attack from Pegasus.
So what a Frack up by the Devs only got 8 out of all battlestars artillery they placed in the correct place the rest are in the wrong place or are not in a twin 2 artillery combination just 1 single turret.
Would I recommend the use of the Mercury in game play no its limited and rubbish in the Devs wrong configuration also the flack is rubbish the Jupiter and the MK2, Artemis have better flack use them in Anabasis big tip above and below attack and flack that will do its job which I point out below.
When you get hit by a torpedo barrage from the enemy you will find that some of the torpedo's get through the flack and hit the Mercury but the same VS the Jupiter ,MK2, Artemis nothing gets through which is right.
Now I do not know for sure on this one I am going to record some in game footage and then use so editing software I have but the Mercury point defence turrets have a lower rate of fire than the Jupiter ,MK2, Minerva, but I think its on a par with the Artemis, defender, Heracles but will not know for sure until I do my break down on this.
Picture model below on correct broadside configuration for battlestar artillery.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Deadlock's saga comes to an end with the conclusion of Season 2
Now for the Valkyrie well the model is good but its missing some heavy turrets and a Viper squadron for the other landing bay how could the Devs Frack that one up but they have 2 landing bays 2 viper squadrons they have got the heavy rocket right one slot and the armour and strength is about right.
But it would have been so much better if the devs had put all the heavy turrets on the ones they have at in the right places but there is some missing.
I have detailed below in the picture the locations of the heavy turrets location and the point defence turrets the missing turrets and the missile launcher locations.
The red rings show point defence turrets locations and the devs have done a excellent job on that. The green rings show all locations of heavy turrets locations the yellow rings show the missing heavy turrets locations and the purple rings show the location of missile launchers.
Can I not recommend from a colonial point of view the modern ships pack no there is just so meany wrongs that the devs need to put right and its not like the information on all the things I have brought up is not out there and available for free yes free Devs to do the ships and the games justice and do it right like the correction you made to the Jupiter MK2 which I find its 100% perfect now you have added the one Artillery turret each side perfect.
When I do my review of the modern ships on steam and I point out all the above its not going to be a glowing review at all. Is this because the devs are not going to do any more dlc for Bsg deadlock or updates kind of washing there hands of the game because there is lots more dlc story's that could be told I am sure.
