Equipment Points
Hello, one question. How or where do you get the equipment points?
And can you increase them by cheat and if so where?

Re: Equipment Points
You mean commendation points in SCW? You get those from completing secondary objectives for the majority of the time - plus a one time deal with spending prestige.
There are currently no cheats to increase them.

Re: Equipment Points
In the case of core slots they can be changed using the console, though -- setany max_core_slots X -- although as the value is normally set by the scenario you'd have to keep using the cheat every new scenario; I don't think it's possible to increase the limit permanently short of editing the scenarios or throwing in a script to add slots like in the Wehrmacht campaign.
Mildly pretentious Swede. Goes by Path on most platforms, including Steam.

Re: Equipment Points
Thanks for explaining what SCW is.
I mean the equipment points I need to buy and use captured equipment like tanks or artillery.

Re: Equipment Points
Buying expensive equipment is a trap. Because when it gets damaged it costs more to repair. Thats a never ending circle of needing more prestige.
Re: Equipment Points
There are no Equipment points to buy captured equipment.
AI equipment that surrenders is added to your purchase screen as captured equipment that you can buy like any other equipment, but in limited quantities.
There are Threads that discuss Player Traits and strategies related to forcing surrenders.
In AOSCW there are caches of equipment that you can capture, as well as caches you can buy with Commendation Points.
Commendation Points are can be obtained by:
1) Bonus objectives available in most scenarios.
2) Purchasing with half your prestige in a specific scenario.
The main campaign does not have Commendation Points.
There comes a time on every project when it is time to shoot the engineer and ship the damn thing.
Re: Equipment Points
This is slightly correct. Inefficient units are a trap.fluffybunnyuk wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:31 pm Buying expensive equipment is a trap. Because when it gets damaged it costs more to repair. Thats a never ending circle of needing more prestige.
Units that take excessive punishment repeatedly lose more and more value over time as repairs and elite repairs are poured into them.
It's a pretty basic tenant of a campaign setting. You want durable units that have good long term value, because the campaign is a loooong term engagement.
It's why you pretty much never see someone field a Nashorn and why Tigers are so much more popular than long barrel Panzer IVs.
Re: Equipment Points
Hello!!
Do Commendation Points I didn´t spend during SCW get imported with my Core Units from SCW to AO39 ?
Regards,
David
