How is it that an enemy airborne unit can get to strength points without being on an airfield?

This was reported in beta.

What happened is because you had it surrounded it couldn't actually move back to airfield but the AI treats it as if it has as you can't actually encircle aircraft.

It happens so rarely (how often do you surrond a plane like that and not shoot it down) but realistically it should just crash.
