Do you reroll the starting turn?

Field of Glory: Empires is a grand strategy game in which you will have to move in an intricate and living tapestry of nations and tribes, each one with their distinctive culture.
Set in Europe and in the Mediterranean Area during the Classical Age, experience what truly means to manage an Empire.

Do you reroll the starting turn?

Post by MarkShot »

Quite a few months ago I realized that the starting turn buildings are random.

Thus, I am playing Rome and have rerolled so that I would have cavalry. Anyone else do this?

(just curious)

Thanks.

I do that when playing Kolchis if I do not have access to heavy infantry at start. The start is horribly difficult without heavy infantry at use (at least on the harder difficulties), and it is hard enough even with heavy infantry available.

I haven't restarted with other nations though.

Nope, always play with what fate gives me.

Yep, I play the hand I'm dealt. But you bought the game, so do whatever you want.

Never. I play the RNG and spit in their eye. My daughter and I just started our first game ever of Empires together and, as the Saitic Egyptians, her Pharaoh has only bad attributes: hated by subjects, poor diplomacy, poor military, and poor administrator. She would never quit, just like me. We are only playing 50 turns on the Easy level to learn the rules before we start in earnest.

Ah, that's nice that you are playing with your daughter. My Steam bundle didn't come with one; just FOG2. :(

:D

My daughter plays Dawn of Man for now, which has some historical vibes, but is not yet a true strategy game...

My daughter is a lawyer in the U.S. We have been playing remote computer games for years now. With the closed border, and her commitment to my grandchildren, the PBEM+ system works perfectly.
