And the Post-Roman army's cavalry would be potent against the Early Saxon army, which has no mounted to speak off. I find that a fascinating match-up--the Post-Roman Brits (say circa 5th century) can have the drilled cavalry and HF with light spear. The Saxons can have some superior HF impact foot to go along with masses of average HF.
