Almost all the units have been created. I printed the class unit tables of the original Fantasy General to use as a basis to create the entries in the equipment file.
I have decided to dedicate 4 ID flags: mortal, beast, magic and shadowlord. This will make things a lot easier to create campaigns for any of these factions. That only leaves the mech faction, which i will use as bonus units.

All Fantasy General units have been created. I will continue posting the big unit sprites.
In FG there were no transports but since we cannot use "magic" here, i created some transports for consideration.

Mortal faction:
A large, fully enclosed wooden transport wagon pulled by two giant deer (stags), used by the Mortal faction to move troops and supplies efficiently along roads.

Magic faction:
A flat, elongated floating platform that hovers visibly above the ground, carrying magical units.
It resembles a hovering barge but designed as an arcane construct rather than a mechanical vehicle.

Beast faction:
A brutal beast transport wagon dragged forward by two enormous upright bulls, used by the Beast faction to hurl its warbands across the battlefield.

Shadow Lord:
A living volcanic mass advancing slowly across the land, carried forward on a continuous stream of molten lava.
It is not a machine, not a beast, and not a spell construct — it is a walking catastrophe.

Good point about the lack of transports in FG - I particularly like the 2 wagons you have created.

I also solved the "bridge engineer" question. These are going to be switchable.

Writing all the unit entries for the equipment file is unfortunately a time consuming job. Sofar, i have entered over a hundred entries for the "mortal" faction, including their heroes, and the bonus "mech" units and some new units for gameplay reasons (troop transport, bridging unit and transport). Those entries are based (but no a strict copy) on the equipment unit tables of Fantasy General.
I have also been gathering information from sources like the official game manual and the official strategy guide. I finished the original game back in 1997 and kept coming back to it from time to time, but it is rather impossible to remember where all those heroes appear and for which of the player's character's.
When i will finally reach the stage of scenario creation, each scenario will be simultaneously developped for each of the four character's.

The intention is to stay as close as possible to the original game, with only limited deviations. Some mechanics cannot be reproduced in Panzer Corps — for example, the original unit research system. Other elements can be replicated, such as unit summoning by Sorceress Mordra.

The mod will be available in English and Russian; other languages will be provided on demand only.

Much of this project is still unexplored territory, particularly the balance values for units in the equipment file. These will require extensive testing. Most values are based on the original game — for example, mortal units have 15 life (strength), while heroes have 10 life. There will also be some cosmetic UI changes, although the final scope of these is not yet fully defined.

At the moment, I am still working on the equipment file. After that, I will move on to the EFX file, which includes selecting appropriate sound effects — some of which were kindly provided by Tobi.

Once that is complete, I can finally begin work on the first continent. Each scenario will be, more or less, a recreation of its original map, including place names, shrines, temples, and deployment zones. The introductory briefing will also be identical to the original.

There are six continents in total and six unit tiers (Tier 0 to Tier 5), although not every tier is available to every class or faction. Continent 1 will start with Tier 0 units, increasing by one tier per continent. The maximum experience cap will begin at 105 in Continent 1 and increase by 100 with each subsequent continent.

Since bonus units are always welcome, they will become available during Continent 2 — two units after liberating Mechmaster Ferras — and will increase by two additional units per continent thereafter. These bonus units belong to the “Mech” faction and include infantry, cavalry, and the Fantasy General equivalents of fighters and bombers.

In the original game, some units join the army permanently (heroes), while others remain only for the duration of the current continent, or until they are destroyed whatever comes first.

Campaign development will proceed one continent at a time, with the army being saved at the end of each continent. I plan to develop the campaigns for all four playable characters in parallel: Lord Marcas, Marshal Calis, Sorceress Mordra, and Archmage Krell.

The intention is to stay as close as possible to the original game, with only limited deviations. Some mechanics cannot be reproduced in Panzer Corps — for example, the original unit research system. Other elements can be replicated, such as unit summoning by Sorceress Mordra.

The mod will be available in English and Russian; other languages will be provided on demand only.

Much of this project is still unexplored territory, particularly the balance values for units in the equipment file. These will require extensive testing. Most values are based on the original game — for example, mortal units have 15 life (strength), while heroes have 10 life. There will also be some cosmetic UI changes, although the final scope of these is not yet fully defined.

At the moment, I am still working on the equipment file. After that, I will move on to the EFX file, which includes selecting appropriate sound effects — some of which were kindly provided by Tobi.

Once that is complete, I can finally begin work on the first continent. Each scenario will be, more or less, a recreation of its original map, including place names, shrines, temples, and deployment zones. The introductory briefing will also be identical to the original.

There are six continents in total and six unit tiers (Tier 0 to Tier 5), although not every tier is available to every class or faction. Continent 1 will start with Tier 0 units, increasing by one tier per continent. The maximum experience cap will begin at 105 in Continent 1 and increase by 100 with each subsequent continent.

Since bonus units are always welcome, they will become available during Continent 2 — two units after liberating Mechmaster Ferras — and will increase by two additional units per continent thereafter. These bonus units belong to the “Mech” faction and include infantry, cavalry, and the Fantasy General equivalents of fighters and bombers.

In the original game, some units join the army permanently (heroes), while others remain only for the duration of the current continent, or until they are destroyed whatever comes first.

Campaign development will proceed one continent at a time, with the army being saved at the end of each continent. I plan to develop the campaigns for all four playable characters in parallel: Lord Marcas, Marshal Calis, Sorceress Mordra, and Archmage Krell.
