Pool B result:

maximvs (Bosporans) 48/57 wins against Ricoual74 (Brutus & Cassius Romans) 33/32

The Bosporans spent most of the game in hasty retreat - fortunately they could run faster than the Romans!

Pool B result

macsen (Later Ptolemaic (Roman)) 17/44 defeated Voskarp (Later Carthaginian (Africa)) 48/45

Egyptians ended up with all their troops in the right places and over matched the Carthies everywhere.

Cheers

Pool B result:

maximvs - Later Ptolemaic (Roman) 42/47 wins against Voskarp - Late Republican Roman (Brutus and Cassius) 40/40

The Romans chose to defend a river line but were hampered by the nature of the terrain once their flank was turned, an enjoyable battle

Pool B

stockwellpete (Seleucids) 32/41 beat macsen (Carthaginians) 53/48

macsen should win the other game shortly and that will be me finished at the group stage. I should have 20pts and that will be enough to get me into the KO stage after Xmas, I think. Thanks to everyone in this group for the matches.

You actually do clinch a playoff spot Pete as only Macsen can match or beat your point total now. It is definitely preferable to win the 1 seed as you will face the 2 seed in C as opposed to the 1 seed.

A very close game as I would have won the next turn as I had finally got in Pete's rear  The Carthies aren't the best army here but that are maneuverable.

Yes, my results are gone too. For now, report results as accurately as possible (victory or defeat, which side playing as) and wait out to see if results come back.

Pool B result

macsen (Later Carthaginian (Africa)) 6/48 defeated Okie (Early Armenian (Khosrov I)) 42/35

Okie bought an army of lancers and Cats with some crappy foot hiding in some rough ground. The Carthaginian mediums and cav were dispatched into the rough and made short work of the Armenians. On the other flank some horse archers and mediums had a largely inconclusive fight, till the last round that is. In the middle the lancers charged the spears, along with some Cats, only to have one of those terrible "Of fuck elephants" moments.

Pool B result

macsen Early Armenian (Khosrov I)) 19/45 defeated Okie (Later Carthaginian (Africa)) 49/47

I bought all the allies I could, the Romans held the centre, aiming for the average spears and impact foot, the Armenians the right with some high ground on the flank and ran down all in front, and the outnumbered Alans held off the numerous Carthie Cav on the left. It certainly helped I had used this army in a tourney.

Cheers
