It's not a question of arrogance, but rather a question of pride and honour.
Maybe you are missing away many years from Greece or perhaps...have you become a "Yianitsaros"? LOL
Most people who are not greeks have no idea how much insulting the term yianitsaros is for greeks. Pyros if you ever told me this to my face I would show you exactly what I think about you. Respecting the people here I will not reply to that sentence.
As a broader reply about the first part of that sentence, you sound exactly like a greek who has either never been outside Greece or has for some time and spend all his free time with other greeks making fun of other people. Greeks are not in any way the only people who know and like greek history. When others like you were killing, threatening and forcing greeks to change their religion to christianity, where was your lovely honour and pride? Which of course has nothing to the use of the word oplon.
You are arrogant, and you do need lessons in a number of fields, including modesty and accepting others opinions.
When I have been wrong in the past, I have always admitted it. (older members might remember the occasions) You know what, let it be, you want to believe that oplon is the shield, keep on believing (as the song goes). I advice you though to use your brain before your mouth (or in this case your fingers), whenever you try to say anything insulting.
I will not continue this discussion, I apologize to slitherine for this post but when someone calls you something like that it is a bit too much.
Plato was right.
