Is there any penalty for a battle resignation, other than the defeat itself?

That seems reasonable.

Good work Mr Macedon. I don't think much of that Pergi rabble either. My mighty armies (and leggies) march across the territory of their nominal allies. I throw a glove down at the feet of the Parmigiana overload and laugh ... ha, ha

Us Armenians specialize in fine horse flesh. Mounted (in more ways than one) or eaten ... all fine for us. As to Elephants? I know that each Bull will provide the "sack" material for 2 large purses. Will they be large enough for the booty that will carried away from the ravaged Parmesan lands .... only time will tell?

The replayed battle between Ptolemaics and Carthaginians is over again,

The Carthaginian resigned when the losses had reached 40/53 for him and 31/51 for our illustrious army.

Ah, Macedon, how noble of you to kick a fellow king when he's down, in both open and closed diplomatic dispatches.... Perhaps you can find the time in between your numerous boastings to post the actual results of the battle so The Great Billgber in the sky can determine if Pergamum even exists anymore.....

King of Armenia, please stop chasing the defenceless goatboy sheppards of Kappadocia for long enough to write a coherent diplomatic statement. Flinging gloves in the air and posturing war against a nation that likly is gone makes little sense, especialing when a glance at the map shows several pike armies headed in your general direction.

Arrg my apologies for not proclaiming from the public forum. My first thoughts were to seek private audience with my gods and offer humble sacrifice to Them as just reward for Their wisdom and guidance in My victory over the Pergamame Pestilence.

However I now proclaim ....

Macedonian Victory !!!!

Macedonia: Initial 56000 casualties 15597.

Pergamem Initial 56020 casualties 25063.

Lol..this wasn't even a campaign battle. You accepted an UNpassworded game that I made to test an army. Wrong terrain and everything. So not sure why you are posting these results.

Yes Dear Gray Mouser soon to be ex-king of ex-Parmolive, you are correct. There are large pike armies heading my way. However, a Frank envoy has arrived at the Armenian court. He provides some proven battle plans when faced with superior Teutonic hordes. These involve running away and waving pieces of white cloth. Given our mobility perhaps this will be successful?

Seleucids victorious in battle for Hatra. Parthians go home for some more cats.

Xiggy (Parthians) 48/47 13272/30000

Ironclad (Seleucids) 32/50 11047/41540

The people of Hatra rejoice at their good fortune and offer their new ruler their undying loyalty (much easier than the dying sort).

Failed invasion of Gaul
The army of Illyria licks its wounds after a sound drubbing by the Gauls. Early turns were marked by at least 3 anarchy charges per turn for a few turns. Looking into nails to keep the stupid buggers in place next time.
Results
Illyria:
21807/ 65000 73/71

Gaul
12319/ 58160 34/64

Looks like Illyria will be posting a new general wanted in the local Pypyrus, I think the general from that battle should cut his own throat, unless the Gauls took his head, or the army did itself

your in game posts suggested otherwise.

Not to mention that our original battle was not password protected.

Stilicho Grow up. I can't keep playing the same battle all over again and again.
